Travel Information to Mauritius updated 01 September 2021

We are delighted to announce that Mauritius will re-open its border to tourists from 1st October 2021.

For entry to Mauritius the required travel protocols will be

1. All persons must be fully vaccinated against Covid (double jabbed and with a minimum 14 days after the 2nd dose given before travel)

2. Proof of a negative PCR test 72 hours or less prior to arrival in Mauritius

These 2 pre-requisites then allow entry to Mauritius without the need to quarantine. And being fully vaccinated also ensures that travellers returning to the UK from Mauritius will not need to quarantine or self-isolate when back in UK.

Mauritius is currently on the UK Amber Travel List so , although fully vaccinated , travellers will still require a negative Fit to Fly covid test (lateral flow or PCR) within a couple of days prior to their return flight and pre-book a PCR test for DAY2 of arrival back in UK. Completion of a UK Passenger Locator Form is also required prior to return and this must show proof that the test required in UK has been pre-booked.
